Why UMA is Always a Work in Progress: We’re All About Staying Ahead 🚀

I’m Stephen Milner, the go-to person for strategy at UMA. You might have wondered or asked, “When will UMA be a finished product?” it’s a question we get from various stakeholders and partners. My answer? “Hopefully, never!” 😅 Let me break it down: standing still is the same as going backwards in the fast-paced tech world. So, we’re all about moving forward.

 

What makes UMA unique is our love for new ideas and challenges. Our team has a wealth of creativity, always brainstorming and coming up with solutions to improve our platform for our customers. But it’s not a one-way street! We pride ourselves on having a platform “built for users by users “and want to hear from you too. 📣 When you give us feedback, it’s like adding fuel to our innovation fire. Saying our product is “done” would be like shutting down a goldmine of improvements.

 

Your voice matters to us! We’re always eager to listen, whether it’s through surveys, social media shoutouts, or customer reviews. 🐰 You tell us what’s good, what needs a little love, and what you’d love to see next. This real-world feedback is the secret that makes UMA better every day.

Our goal is to be six or seven steps ahead. 🏃‍♀️ Imagine a chess game where we’re already thinking about the endgame while still making the opening moves. That’s how we stay prepared and ready for whatever tech trends come our way.

By aiming to be ahead of the curve, we’re setting ourselves up to not just react to changes but to lead them. From integrating AI ( ***on AI, Yes, we are doing it, we are working on something pretty cool right now, but no, I’m not rushing it, we are in an AI hype right now, people are running to jump in, and I think we need to slow down and understand what we can use AI for and how it will benefit users, in an impactful way, I will do an update on this within the coming weeks on what our ai strategy is – more to follow*** ) to exploring new data analytics methods, we’ve got our eyes set on the future, so you’re always getting the freshest, most cutting-edge UMA experience.

Speed is of the essence, but quick fixes are like fast food: good for now but not so great in the long run. 🍔 These short-term solutions need revisiting, tweaking, or sometimes a complete overhaul.

 

 

Getting It Right 🛠

 

We schedule regular ‘clean-up’ sessions where we go back to those quick fixes and turn them into long-term solutions. Think of it as spring cleaning for our codebase. This ensures we don’t accumulate ‘tech clutter,’ keeping UMA sleek and efficient. Oh, and our Head of Platform doesn’t lose more hair… we don’t want to see that.

Rolling out new features is exciting, but what’s equally important is making sure the ones you already love work without a hitch. 🛠️ Our support team is like the race pit crew—they ensure everything’s tuned up and ready to go.

 

This allows us to work well with our customer support team, who aren’t in some distant land; they’re part of the glue that shapes our vision. Any issues get flagged immediately to those who can do something about it. It’s all hands on deck to ensure you get the best from UMA.
